A solar heat collector and dryer that works during
all hot days, without any electricity. Suitable for small groups, farms, individuals etc.
Considering the insolation between 700 & 1000 watts, the average collector temperature and dryer chamber temperature to be around 45ºc and 30ºc above ambient respectively. Most of the vegetables and fruits are dehydrated at these temperatures. Hence these Presys-dryers are suitable for leafy vegetables, onions, tomatoes, fruits etc. These can be adapted for some fish varieties. Presys-dryers have two main assemblies. |

Model – PAN 2/8
The heat collector—consists of aluminum frame of size 1M x 2M backed by G.I. pre-coated sheet. The main heat collection is by M.S. black painted sheet which is fitted above foil. The heat transfer takes place on both sides of this sheet. The collector frame is covered by 4mm toughened glass.
The dryer chamber—is made in M.S.tube. For drying purpose perforated S.S. trays are used. There are 8 trays in 4 layers and are slided on rails for ease of handling. The weight of material will vary as per moisture content of the item. |

The cabinet type direct solar dryer is made of steel frame covered by FRP sheets or M S sheets.
The top side has toughened glass and air circulation a/c or d/c fans are fitted inside.
Three doors open from a longer side for loading of material. Stainless steel trays are provided
in three layers. As the air inside is heated by sun light, it is circulated by the fans provided inside. |
